The Last Goodbye

What better way to say farewell than with a slew of costume pictures from this year’s (coming) Halloween?

Happy Halloween 2017!
From Ethan Siegel and Starts With A Bang.
Keep looking to the Universe.
And we’ll have a lifetime of wonderful things to still explore.

Goodbye, Scienceblogs, it’s been an incredible almost-decade. Hope to see you all in all our other endeavors!

  1. IMHO we had many glorious arguments and discussions here, friendly or otherwise 🙂
Kind of like the characters in in Galileo’s “Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems” (which I never read so far 🙂

  2. I’ll just guess that your costume is The Queen of Science Fiction. “Girls just want to have fun!”… and I wish you well in that. Party on.

  3. So long and thanks for all the fish!

Seriously, this place has been great and I’m really sad to see it disappear. Not so much the scienceblogs in whole, but Starts with the Bang. I learned a heck of a lot here since 2010 or so when I first stumbled on this blog. And it’s thanks to this blog that I expanded my knowledge and understanding of physics a hundred fold. But the articles themselves are only half the story, thank you also for the community that dwells here, for many years of great discussions and debates. So, thank you Ethan, Michael Kelsey, dean, narad, PJ, mobius, omega, Naked Bunny, eric, wow, okthen, sean T, denier etc etc… thank you all for giving a helping hand and insight when I was stuck with some question or topic. Am really gonna miss this place.

    Bye

  4. I echo everything @Sinisa Lazarek wrote. The odd group of people posting comments here was really appreciated by me. As for the master himself I can’t say enough. It is really, really, incredibly rare that someone so educated will mix it up with the not-so-pedigreed and often outright wrong.
